Today Mayor Byron W. Brown of Buffalo, NY, USA, and Mayor Ozgen Keskin of Bursa-Yildirim, Turkey will meet in City Hall and later sign a Sister City agreement at the 2nd Annual Friendship Dinner, sponsored by the Turkish Cultural Center Buffalo. “We are pleased to welcome Mayor Dr. Keskin and the delegation from Bursa-Yildirim, Turkey and look forward to exchanges between our two cities for the benefit of our citizens,” said Mayor Brown. Bursa-Yildirim, Turkey is the newest international city to join Buffalo’s sister cities network. Kanazawa, Japan; Lille, France; Drohobych, Ukraine; Dortmund, Germany; Torremaggiore, Italy; Tver, Russia; St. Ann’s Bay, Jamaica; and Rzeszow, Poland are among cities currently enjoying international linkages and exchanges through the City of Buffalo’s membership in Sister Cities International. The 2nd Annual Friendship Dinner will be held from 5:30-8pm, at the Hyatt located in downtown Buffalo. |
