BUFFALO –Mayor Byron W. Brown and the Presidents of Buffalo’s Sister Cities will host the Ninth Annual Sister Cities Dinner on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 from 5:30 to 9 PM at the Larkin at Exchange Building’s Chautauqua Café, 726 Exchange Street, Buffalo.

“We’ll be celebrating the friendships and relationships that the people of Buffalo and Western New York are enjoying with our counterparts in cities from around the world,” said Mayor Brown.

Fine food, wine, door prizes, and musical entertainment by Neville Francis & Riddim Posse will highlight the evening.

Buffalo’s Sister Cities and other organizations are collaborating with the Mayor’s Administration on the event as an opportunity for members and those interested in membership to meet, to announce upcoming events, and to promote international understanding.

Kanazawa, Japan; Lille, France; Drohobych, Ukraine; Dortmund, Germany; Torremaggiore, Italy; Tver, Russia; and Rzeszow, Poland are among cities currently enjoying international linkages and exchanges through the City of Buffalo’s membership in Sister Cities International. There are over 100 local companies doing business with these countries.

Although tickets may be purchased at the door, reservations are recommended by calling 851-4911. The Annual Sister Cities Dinner has sold out the last eight years!
