New Facility Adds to Growing Medical Corridor

BUFFFALO—Mayor Byron Brown today helped to cut the ribbon on the brand new WNY Medical Arts Center, located at the southern end of the growing Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus at 700 Michigan Avenue.

“Not only is this facility a great addition to the city’s Medical Corridor, it is also located in an Empire Zone, which means the building also serves as an ‘incubator’ for medical professionals,” said Mayor Brown. “We keep seeing more and more development in this corridor and I commend the Doctors who have invested in this building, and in this community.”

"In addition to the excitement around the grand opening of our burgeoning medical practice, we are also working on providing space to biotechnology companies," said Dr. Frank Mascaro. "We wanted to build something that would enable us to provide the proper care to the community and also compliment the life science focus of the medical campus."

This new state-of-the-art building is co-owned by seven physicians, spearheaded by Dr. Frank Mascaro and Dr. Joseph Serghany. Together, the doctors invested almost $11 million dollars into this 30,000 sq. ft. building, along with a grant from the Buffalo Economic Renaissance Corporation. Savarino Construction Company worked on the project.
