Mayor Takes Honor in Readers' Choice "Best of Buffalo" 2006 Poll Buffalo, NY – Mayor Byron Brown has been selected as the Buffalo area's "Best Politician" in the annual Readers' Choice Artvoice "Best of Buffalo" 2006 poll. The weekly newspaper, with a weekly readership of 285,000, solicits readers' choice of "Best of Buffalo" in a wide range of categories, including favorite restaurants, theaters, television news anchors, bands, artists and actors. "This is a great honor because it comes directly from the Artvoice readers," said Mayor Brown. "I know Artvoice readers are active citizens, interested in public affairs issues, particularly the state of Buffalo, so I am encouraged that their selection of me as the area's 'Best Politician' is indicative of their optimism with the policies and initiatives my administration implementing to move Buffalo forward." According to Artvoice publisher, Jamie Moses, over 75,000 responses were received in this year's poll. Mayor Brown was selected from a category of politicians that included Congressman Brian Higgins, State Assemblyman Sam Hoyt and Amherst Town Supervisor Satish Mohan. |
